Move & Feel Like A Local
Who is Kitsune?
The Kitsune (fox) (狐) in Japan symbolises a great many things, and are considered to be clever and powerful tricksters. They are often seen as symbols of good harvests, fertility, and prosperity, and are also considered guardians against evil. They can teach through humor, like a local trickster who reveals lessons through small surprises. Who better to take you on an exploratory journey into Japanese culture?
Japan is an ancient and multi-layered culture, a profoundly deep pool to dive into and explore. Many will tell you that it is like peeling layers off an onion, seemingly never ending.
Being an island country, the Japanese are genuinely delighted when a visitor makes the effort to learn some of their language. A simple “arigatou” or “sumimasen” can take you surprisingly far. And the language is the eye into the culture, the path to deeper understanding.
